Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Transition to Practice Program Supervisor develops, designs, implements, and evaluates the programs within their purview. This position will be responsible for the HCT in Training Program and the Surgical Tech Residency Program. Responsible for hiring, overseeing, and effectively onboarding staff hired into the programs. Oversees placement of individuals hired into open requisitions throughout service areas. Collaborates with leaders to provide support and follow up for those hired through the program. Monitors program goals and evaluates and implements changes to maintain strong retention and high quality of the program. Work closely with Human Resources and Talent Development to maintain candidate flow. Provides a high level of support to staff hired through the program to support strong retention and engagement.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Illinois upon hire and National Nursing Certification NPD or CMSRN within 2 years.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) years of healthcare experience, strong customer service and leadership background

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Interviews and hires candidates into assigned programs.
Oversees onboarding and training.
Conducts disciplinary action.
Oversee classroom development and delivery methods.
Facilitates placement of staff into open positions, depending upon specialization track.
Conducts recruitment for the program through job fairs, college presentations, events, and other methodologies to assure candidate flow and interest in the program.
Support staff through individual rounding and time on the floor.
Collaborate with team members to develop schedules and create preceptor assignments.
Oversee competency module completion.
Collaborate with department leaders to foster open and strong relationships.
Create retention strategies for staff hired into the program.
Evaluate effectiveness of program and implement changes for improvements.
Participate in recruitment events when needed.
Oversees clinical coach in their role.
Complete all mandatory training and competency modules.
