The Registered Nurse - Float Pool will perform all aspects of direct patient care to include assessment, planning, evaluation and documentation. RNs will provide direct care based on the plan of care and established priorities. RNs will
evaluate and document the patient and family response to nursing interventions related to the stated goals and the overall
effectiveness of the care plan.
This RN applicant must have a current Texas license and a minimum of one year of recent hospital experience. BLS and ACLS are required. PALS, TNCC and/or ENPC may be required, depending on the departments in which the employee
wishes to work. As a member of the Float Pool, the RN will be required to be scheduled to work a minimum of ten 12-hour shifts per six-week schedule, four of which must be weekend shifts.
No guaranteed number of hours will be offered. RNs will be required to be scheduled for at least two holidays a year. RNs must be qualified to accept assignments in at least three areas of the hospital, one of which must be Med-Surg.
