This is a benefited, full-time position working 10-hr day shifts Tuesday-Friday generally from 7am-5:30pm. No weekends or holidays. Start times may vary. Located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion (AMP) in La Jolla. This position is primarily administrative with very little direct face-to-face patient care.

Scripps Clinic's John R. Anderson V Medical Pavilion provides a "one-stop" health-care experience for people in the greater San Diego region.
Located just off I-5 and Genesee Avenue, the pavilion is on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
Services offered:
Primary care (family medicine and internal medicine)
Specialty care (including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, neurology, and pulmonary medicine)
Imaging services; Blood tests and labs
On-site vascular lab to test for vascular disorders
Cardiac testing, including echocardiograms and exercise stress tests
Outpatient cardiac catheterization procedures and Vascular surgery and vein treatment
What you'll do:
Demonstrate compassionate care during patient assessments and care tasks, including specific procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
Work the inbaskets/messages for the majority of the shift
Learn about cardiac devices, tilt tables, triaging, and read device alerts.
Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting. Patient care includes:
compliance with patient assessments and care tasks
triaging
completion of clinical procedures
emergency protocols and medication administration
Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K

Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
Must remain in original department/specialty
Must remain in original Job Title
Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Minimum one (1) year RN experience
Current California RN License
BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association
Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in an outpatient clinic setting
RN experience in a cardiac (Telemetry) setting
Strong Cardiology background, EKG interpretation and comfortable phone triaging
