NorthsideHospital offers the community a state-of-the-art Neurointervention Suite forbrain attacks and injuries. The main attraction of this suite is the hospital'snew biplane angiography equipment, which can take advanced three dimensionalneurovascular images to diagnose neurological conditions such as cerebralaneurysms and vascular malformations.
This cutting edge technology also reducesprocedure time and radiation dose. The addition of this technology to NorthsideHospital benefits the surrounding community by providing the most advancedneurovascular imaging available for patients suffering from neurologicaldisorders such as strokes and aneurysms. The endovascular treatment ofstroke extends the window of time for treatment ischemic from 3 hours up to 8after the onset of symptoms. This technology allows minimally invasivetechniques to reopen obstructed blood vessels, reducing the after-effects ofstroke.
