The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. The Clinical RN's care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. The Clinical RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist, leader, and knowledge transferor [Onsomble Model of the Professional Role]. Professional accountability enriches the Clinical RN's engagement as a leader in promoting an inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making, innovation, life-long learning, and teamwork. Function/Duties of Position
Hiring Bonus up to $10,000 DOE and Relocation Package Available. Must begin work by July 1, 2024 to qualify.
$49.16-$78.18 per hour, based on RN Degree and level of experience.
Ability to perform duties using theory-based nursing practice model, evidenced-based practices, and shared governance in a multidisciplinary team model. Ability to participate in a multidisciplinary clinical team. Knowledge of clinical quality improvement models and process. Knowledge of scope of patient care services provided by other clinical service lines and the referral process. Knowledge of effective teaching processes and principles in planning, providing and evaluating optimum health care. Knowledge of quality management and improvement processes to comply with internal and external standards, i.e., DNV. Knowledge of general medical procedures and the ability to anticipate complications and the indicated therapeutic interventions. Knowledge of clinic practices and ability to act as a resource for clinic personnel and assist the providers as necessary. Proficiency in the use of appropriate EMR, computer based software and office equipment. Ability to maintain quality safety and infection control standards. RN must possess the ability to apply the operational principles of the SCPFM care model. Knowledge and ability to apply primary care best practices. Ability to mentor and orient new staff members.
Required Qualifications
Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
BSN preferred
Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.
Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English
Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position
and use of Electronic Health Record information, and tools
Current unencumbered Oregon RN license. Certification in Basic Life Support
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
