Responsibilities

Our Medical/Telemetry unit has 38 beds. We have a varied medical/telemetry population of cardiac, sepsis, pneumonia, and diabetic patients.

Our RN staff provide primary care and we have an RN to patient ratio of 4-5 to 1. We are most proud of our positive staff and the support that they provide for our patients and staff.

Our Med/Tele Department Leadership team is comprised of a two Clinical Managers, and a Unit Based Educator. We offer strong teamwork to support new staff on our unit and provide residency training for new graduates and/or RN's moving into the acute care setting.

Job Summary:
As a Med/Tele nurse you will provide nursing care to all patient populations to include chest pain, COPD, CHF, Sepsis, Renal/hepatic and some post surgical. This work includes developing, implementing and assessing the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and the patient and family.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred

  • One year of related work experience is preferred

  • Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Responsibilities Job Summary:This job is responsible for providing a wide variety of professional nursing services which focus on the provision of quality patient care consistent with Franciscan Health System (FHS) standards/values, applicable regulatory requirements and scope of practice for the nursing profession. Work also includes developing, implementing and assessing the patient plan of care during time of stay in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the patient/family. An incumbent is engaged in direct patient care, including assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating and delegating work to members of the patient care team, and for providing education and consultation with patients, families, physicians and other staff members in implementing appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient care. Qualifications Education & Work Experience: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. * One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred. * Possession of a BSN degree is preferred. Licensure & Certification: * Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing. * Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. * Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred.
