RN Research Neurosciences Service Line
Performs clinical and administrative functions in support of the design, implementation, and management of clinical research projects.
Assists with designing and procuring funding for new study protocols. Assists with the preparation, submission and management of internal/external compliance documentation at all stages of the research project.
Assists with the selection, education, testing and monitoring of research project patients.
Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity and efficacy of study protocols and patient care. Documents patient/study results using departmental information systems and applications. Communicates patient/study results on an on-going basis to research team.
Monitors the quality assurance process. Participates in QA/QI initiatives to ensure the department's compliance with applicable standards of care and regulatory requirements.
Requirements (education, licensures, certification):
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. BSN is required for new hires or to be attained within three years of acceptance of the position.
An unrestricted, CO RN license (or a compact RN license and obtain a CO RN license within 90 days of start date).
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course).
