RN (Remote / Field-Based Position)

Liberty Healthcare Corporation of North Carolina has ongoing needs for Registered Nurses for full-time 'Independent Assessor' positions throughout NC.

As an Independent Assessor, you will serve a vital role in assessing North Carolinians who are applying for Medicaid-funded in-home Personal Care Services in support of their activities of daily living.

You will assess people using a standardized questionnaire to gain pertinent details about their overall health, well-being, abilities, and living environment. After which, you will complete a comprehensive report which will be used to guide determinations related to service eligibility and levels of care.

Please note, this role only involves conducting nursing assessments and does not involve any direct nursing care. As well, Independent Assessors ordinarily conduct these assessments face-to-face in client residences - however out of an abundance of caution during the COVID-19 pandemic - assessments are currently being conducted remotely by phone.

At present, Independent Assessors work 100% remotely from home. However, if / when in-person assessments reinitiate in the future, you would be required to regularly travel to client residences throughout the local region.

You're a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and have prior experience in home health, hospice, case management, or a similar field-based / remote nursing role. Residence in North Carolina is required.

You must be skilled in active listening, conducting nursing assessments, oral and written communication, and effectively using a laptop and other electronic office equipment.
