RN Registered Nurse Weekends

  • Pediatrics Penn State Health St. Joseph (Reading, PA)

The Pediatrics Unit is a 14 bed inpatient unit.

The unit provides care to the patient ranging from birth to 17 years and (occasionally) adult patients.Focus includes care of the medical patient and surgical patient including ENT, orthopedic, and general surgery.

JOB SUMMARY:

The RN Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge of the nursing process and the professional standards of nursing in daily practice. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments/interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, unique to the patient.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

Experience:

  • Recent nursing experience within last 18 months.

  • Minimum 2 years pediatric RN experience preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required on telemetry units within 12 months.
