RN Registered Nurse

Posterity Group, LLC is seeking professional and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) with Multiple Specialties to support the Atlanta Veteran Affairs Health Care Center.

Multiple Locations: Lawrenceville VA Clinic - (Lawrenceville, GA 30046), Newnan VA Clinic - (Newnan, GA 30265), Oakwood VA Clinic - (Flowery Branch, GA 30542), Rome VA Clinic - (Rome, GA 30161), Stockbridge VA Clinic - (Stockbridge, GA 30281), Ft McPherson VA Clinic - (Atlanta, GA 30310), Fulton County VA Clinic - (East Point, GA 30344), Gwinnett County VA Clinic - (Lawrenceville, GA 30043), Henderson Mill VA Clinic - (Atlanta, GA 30345), Trinka Davis Veterans Village - (Carrollton, GA 30117), Atlanta VA Clinic - (Decatur, GA 30030), Austell VA Clinic - (Austell, GA 30082), Blairsville VA Clinic - (Blairsville, GA 30512), East Point VA Clinic - (East Point, GA 30344) Specialty RN Roles: Medical-Surgical RN - shall have at least three (3) years current experience in acute care, medical/surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting exclusive of agency assignments and must have worked within the last six (6) months in the above settings.

Duty hours are 10 or 12-hour shifts including no less than rotating weekends and holidays Operating Room RN - shall have at least three (3) years current experience in an operating room setting exclusive of the agency assigned tours of duty and shall be able to scrub and/or circulate and must have worked within the last six months in an operating room setting. Nurses are preferred to have a current Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certificate accredited by the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI). Duty hours are normally 0630 AM – 15:00 PM Emergency Department RN - shall have at least three (3) years of recent prior experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting. Agency nurses assigned to the Emergency Department can expect to work twelve (12) hours shifts including no less than rotating weekends and holidays.

Nurses are preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN). Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered. Intensive Care Unit RN - nurses may be utilized as needed in specialty the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), or the Emergency Room. All nurses considered for assignment to an ICU shall have completed an accredited course in Intensive Care Nursing as well as certification in Moderate Sedation or equivalent.

In lieu of ICU certification, candidates shall possess at least five years of clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit or other critical care environment. ICU nurses assigned to the MICU/SICU/CCU can expect to work twelve (12) hours shifts including no less than rotating weekends and holidays. Agency nurses are preferred to have Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) CCRN certificate.

Long Term Care / Nursing Home RN - BLS: Required (American Heart Association) Dialysis RN - Nurses are preferred to have completed the Electro Cardiogram Course. and be familiar with the Gambro Dialysis Machine and (must have worked within the last six months in that setting.) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Cardiac Catherization Lab/Electrophysiology RN - All nurses considered for assignment to the Cath Lab shall have completed an accredited course in Intensive Care/Cath Lab Nursing as well as certification in Moderate Sedation or equivalent.

In lieu of ICU certification, candidates shall possess at least five years of clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit or other critical care environment and must have worked within the last six months in one of the above settings. Nurses assigned to the Cath Lab can expect to work eight (8) hours shifts including rotating call every other week 7 days on/7 days off which includes weekends and holidays. GI Lab RN - All registered nurses shall have at least three (3) years prior experience in an intensive care setting to include Critical Care/GI Lab experience.

Nurses assigned to the GI Lab can expect to work eight (8) hours shifts Monday-Friday with weekends and holidays off. Interventional Procedure RN - Minimum three years current (must have worked within the last six months) experience in a procedural area such as Radiology, GI Lab. Primary Care RN - Minimum of three years current (must have worked within the last six months) experience in a primary care setting.

Post-Anesthesia Care RN - Minimum three years current (must have worked within the last six months) experience in post anesthesia care. Psychiatric/Mental Health RN - Minimum three years current (must have worked within the last six months) experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit. Requirements: All registered nurses shall have at least three (3) years of recent prior experience with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting.

US Citizenship Education requirements : Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a Master’s Degree in Nursing A current and unrestricted registered nurse license from the state of Georgia (United States) A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate accredited by the American Heart Association For Emergency Department RN, an Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support Course (ACLS) certificate accredited by the American Heart Association.
