VibraLife of El Paso is currently seeking PRN Registered Nurses - RN's - to join our team!

We're looking for PRN shifts; Days and Nights!

The RN is responsible for the comprehensive assessment of resident and family needs in order to determine the nursing services required. Understands and integrates the needs of adult and geriatric residents in the delivery of nursing care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing resident care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills, fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the facility, and developing clinical expertise per specialty. Responsible for managing and providing direct care for assigned residents. Responsible for the management of resident activities, while monitoring the quality of care during assigned shift. Serves as a liaison to keep the Program Manager and/or Nursing Supervisor aware of major occurrences and needs of the program.

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.

  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.

Additional Qualifications/

  • One (1) year of medical/surgical, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience preferred.

  • Ability to project a professional image.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.

  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Del Sol Medical Center and the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family, and other members of the Health Care Team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans. The RN also assists with the administration of moderate sedation, monitoring of the patient for outpatient procedures, patient assessments, patient education, administration of medications as ordered by physician via oral, IM, SQ, or IV route. The RN is also responsible for placing Foley Catheters. The RN will document on nurses notes, medication, and patient education records. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process. * Participates, cooperate, and helps develop unit based Quality Improvement processes. * Supports, maintains, and provides an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use for resources and personnel. * Practices, develops, and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers. * Serves as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's rights to privacy by protecting confidential information. * Plans and implements patient care and teaching based on assessment and the age of the patient. * Evaluates and documents patient response; monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychosocial status; takes appropriate action based on assessment of the patient. * Demonstrates Customer Service/Service Plus principles and behaviors appropriately. * Competently performs procedures ordered that can be safely performed in the outpatient setting. * Monitors patients as needed. Provides basic life support/emergency measures as needed. * Accurately maintains daily records/charges (as applicable) of treatment administered. * Coordinates the collection and ongoing maintenance of patient information/data. * Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Minimum Associates degree, diploma or BSN required RN, BSN Preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current RN license in Texas and BCLS required. ACLS and OCN preferred. Certification must be renewed no later than 30 days following expiration. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: Nursing experience 3 years required. Oncology experience 1 year preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to adapt to change readily and function in a professional manner. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Reads and writes basic English with the skills necessary to transfer physician's orders. Knowledge of sterile procedures.
