WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • State of Texas RN licensure (or eligible)

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Previous experience in critical care arenas.

Qualifications/Education

Required education:

  • Diploma/Certificate
  • ADN - Associate Degree in Nursing, accepted
  • BSN - Bachelor of Science in Nurse, preferred

Required experience:

  • Nursing: 2 year Hospital Nursing experience
  • ICU - Minimum 1 year experience

Required license or certification:

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • ACLS
  • BLS

  • ICU experience of at least 2 years

Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays.
