Parham Doctors' Hospital, a campus of Henrico Doctors' Hospital, is located in the west end of Richmond. Parham Doctors' Hospital is a 200-bed facility offering medical and surgical programs including orthopedics, behavioral health, bariatrics, imaging, rehabilitation services, 24-hour emergency care, sleep disorder, podiatry, primary care, and occupational health. The Parham Doctors' Hospital campus is home to The Orthopedic Hospital, one of the most honored joint and spine programs in the state.
About the Unit :
15 bed Adult General Medical Unit
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6 on days and 1:5-6 on Nights
Average Length of Stay is 4.7 days
Interdisciplinary team meets daily to review progress, barriers to discharge, and discharge needs
Unit based educator to support onboarding and facilitate growth of staff
Team with employees ranging from new grads to 30 years of experience, fosters mentoring environment.
Fosters professional growth through active Unit Practice Council, and specialty certification of Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse and Chemo certification.
Current licensure as an RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
