The RN ECT Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective nursing care; to assist in the operation of the ECT department according to the legal guidelines of mental health care in the State of Texas and to maintain the hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and nursing standards of care. Will also assist in overseeing ECT operations and reports to CNO. Facilitates communication and collaboration between staff and other departments or units regarding patient care issues. The RN ECT Coordinator maintains a high standard of nursing care and contributes to the provision of high quality ECT services by organizing, coordinating, and facilitating the delivery of care for patients receiving inpatient and outpatient ECT, as well as by collaborating on ECT processes with the Medical and Nursing Leaderships.
Must possess current RN license to practice in the State of TX; two years of clinical experience in Psychiatric/Behavioral Health or PACU preferred. Must be flexibility and possess strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; stress management skills, crisis management skills; skills in analysis and evaluation; sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills are key. 2 years ECT or PACU experience preferred.
SAMA Training (must be attained with 10 days of your hire date), CPR (must be attained within 10 days of your hire date), ACLS (must be attained within 10 days of your hire date).
