SUMMARY:

Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Greenwich Hospital is seeking to employ a full-time registered nurse with specialty in supporting adolescents with a spectrum of psychiatric disorders. The psychiatric registered nurse will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers in the context of routine outpatient and intensive outpatient programming.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing initial health assessments with new patients

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary staff for direct patient care

• Collection of outcome data related to clinical care

• Engagement in community outreach

• Participation in departmental meetings and activities

• Participation in training, supervision, and consultation activities

• Maintaining charts on all clients in accordance with Quality Assurance policies and procedures

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

EXPERIENCE

Individuals with experience with a spectrum of psychiatric disorders in adolescents in an outpatient and/or intensive outpatient program are encouraged to apply.

LICENSURE

All candidates must be licensed and currently registered in the State of Connecticut, as well as have current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.

Capability of working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers; flexibility with schedule and work-place settings; demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork; and demonstrated cultural competency working with diverse cultures and communities.
