Job Summary:

The nurse provides pre-procedural care in a clinic-type setting, including prep, treatment, and recovery. The nurse focuses heavily on patient/family counseling and education as well as customer relations. The RN will assist with coordination of care between disciplines and will communicate regularly with staff, providers, and other health professionals as applicable.

Job Duties:

• Proficient in assisting in procedures & other skills in the unit; IV's, Glucose testing, etc.

• Obtains health history and instructs patient regarding procedure and treatment in pain management

• Communicates the patient's status and significant changes to others as needed to provide continuity of care. Collaborates as necessary

Requirements:

• BSN preferred

• Experience in Pain Management and Pre-Op/PACU preferred but not required

• Active KY RN License

• BLS

• ACLS
