Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Evaluating assigned patient and plans

  • Implementing and documenting care

  • Performing various patient tests and administering medications within the scope of practice

  • Teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self- care skills

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • License to practice as an RN in the state of Arkansas

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification at start or acquired within first 90 days of employment

  • Current ACLS and PALS certification at start or acquired within first 90 days of employment

  • 1+ year of experience preferred.

Position Summary This position is responsible for assisting the nursing staff by providing one-on-one, continuous observation of psychiatric patients who, in the judgment of the physician and/or RN, present an acute danger to him/herself or others. This position has some exposure to body fluids and communicable disease. The majority of time is spent sitting, with frequent standing and walking of short distances. A culturally and linguistically diverse patient population is served including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics, with the majority being adults and geriatrics.
