Acute Care Unit

Patient Population: General Adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry

Patient Ratios: 1:5

Number of Beds: 48 beds

Department Specifics: Magnet facility, >80% BSN, strong practice council, will pay for nursing certification, free charge nurses, dedicated unit supervisors for day and night shift, opportunities for skill advancement and growth, great collaboration across disciplines and wonderful inter-department teamwork.

• McKinney is a 191 bed, fully accredited not for profit hospital providing a broad spectrum of healthcare services to families in McKinney and the surrounding communities.  Part of Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not for profit healthcare system in the state of Texas, the hospital offers personalized care and advanced technology on a beautiful with hotel-like amenities and all private rooms.  Services include emergency care, heart and vascular services, orthopedics, oncology, primary care, women's services, and a Level III Neonatal IC with private suites.

As part of the medical center's long-term plans, the hospital structure can add additional floors, increasing the number of beds to 400 as community growth warrants.

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program

• License/Certification

• RN - Registered Nurse

• BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
