Overview Summer 2024 New Graduate RN Residency Program-Accepting Associate Degrees Attention all May 2024 Graduates Applications will be accepted for the RN New Grad Residency Program from November 2023 through June 2024 . Here's How It Works As residents, you will participate in the residency program while simultaneously completing your department orientation. Each month, you will attend a four-hour learning session and work on an evidence-based practice project, which must be completed by the end of the 12-month residency prgram.

Attendance is mandatory, and you will be paid fot the nurse residency sessions. During these sessions, you will have the chance to interact with clinical experts, collaborate on resolving clinical challenges and gain valuable insights into the resources available to support your practice. Cohorts Cohorts are determined based on your start date.

Applications for the Nurse Residency Program are always open, and if hired, your cohort will be determined by your start date. For consideration for the Critical Care Units, having clinical experience, externships, senior practicums or have taken specific courses as part of the nursing cirriculum is highly preferred. Your Choice of 3 Medical Plans Discounts on various activities such as Life, Pet, Legal, Dental and More Description The 12-month transition-to-practice program utilizes the Vizient/AACNNurse Residency Program. We offer a series of learning and work experiences designed to assist you as you transition into your first professional role as an RN. The program is designed for newly licensed registered nurse with no prior experience as an RN.

Qualifications Possess a current RN license by the start date of the program in Georgia or a Compact State. Successfully pass your boards, with results verified by noon on the Wednesday prior to the start date. Hold an active Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained through the American Heart Association.

This certification must remain valid for at least 30 days after the start date. Provide a comprehensive resume that includes details regarding your clinical rotation hours, the facilites you have worked in, and the specific units you have been a part of. Have graduated from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Or Accreditation for Commission Education in Nursing (ACEN).
