Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse Manager your job is vital to increasing the quality of cares given to residents in order to enhance the functionality of the clinical team. The primary purpose of the Nurse Manager is to supervise the day-to-day activities of the assigned nursing station(s). The Nurse Manger is responsible for the coordination, planning implementing, and evaluating the nursing services provided to each resident on a 24-hour basis.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provides Leadership and Direction on Assigned Units with all staff.

  • Resident Care Functions which include medication, treatments and follow nursing protocols.

  • Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per company policy.

  • Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing program with a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with a combination of long-term care dementia care or acute care. Home care experience preferred.

  • Previous supervisory/management experience in a health care setting.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

  • Organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

  • Knowledge of Home Health regulatory and reimbursement requirements.

  • Possess adequate strength, coordination, dexterity and endurance to meet the strenuous physical demands of such resident care responsibilities as lifting and moving patients.

  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

A Day in the Life as a Registered Nurse As a float pool RN at Monarch, you arrive each day at the appointed facility determined to ensure that the patients are happy, healthy, and safe. You manage and supervise the care of residents through a well-defined care delivery system. You systematically keep track of data and do assessments. You develop care plans according to standards of care, implement them, and revise them as necessary. To you, the patients' needs always come first and you ensure that any and all call lights are answered promptly and courteously. You complete charting and facilitate the implementation of physician's orders. You administer medications accurately, ensuring proper documentation. You follow and promote proper infection control procedures at all times, maintaining a safe and clean environment for everyone. You provide leadership for the LPNs and nursing assistants. You lead by example. You mentor and coach them on providing quality care and inspire them to do it with a genuinely positive and caring attitude. You set the tone for the front-line staff. It is due to your leadership that our residents receive competent care while feeling heard and respected.
