Shift: 3rd (11:00pm

  • 7:30am)

Manages, plans, organizes, and directs all nursing activities in assigned facility. Responsible for the quality of nursing care delivered in hospitals, public health facilities, and community based programs.

Directs subordinate supervisors and staff. Coordinates response to disaster and emergencies. Develops and manages the budget and makes cost effective decisions.

Develops policies, sets standards and plans objectives for the nursing program in accordance with established policies. Develops staffing patterns. Evaluates nursing standards and nurse protocols for all nursing programs.

Initiates and participates in the development of community wide policy to improve the health status of the stakeholder. Interprets policies and communicates changes in regulations and procedures. Makes long-range plans and regularly reviews activities, problems and functions of services being delivered.

Organizes and plans a systematic and continuous quality/performance improvement program for the practice of nursing. Oversees the collection of data for statistical records. Plans and directs the work of nursing or other professional staff and assures an adequate level of nursing care.

Provides staff development including orientation, in-service training, workshops and continuing education for all levels of nursing staff. Reviews state, federal, and other regulatory standards information in order to direct the quality improvement activities and achieve compliance.

Master's degree in nursing, nursing administration, public health or directly related field from an accredited college or university AND One year in an administrative or supervisory capacity AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse OR Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Four years of experience as Registered Nurse, Two years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse OR Eight years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Two years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, Three years of which as a supervisor AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.

Shifts: 8 hours 3rd 11:00pm - 7:30am Job Description: Assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients. May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Administers prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids, and notes times and amounts on clients' charts. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans. Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records. Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions. Monitors all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity. Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions. Observes nurses and visits clients to ensure that proper nursing care is provided. Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments. Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained. Provides education to client and family. Provides health care, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation These RN positions are advertised for 3rd (11:00PM - 7:30AM) shifts only, and are subject to HOLD-OVER. A Hold-Over is the potential for an employee to need to remain on staff outside of their assigned shift to ensure core staffing requirements are maintained. This could potentially mean that an employee could be asked to work an additional eight hour shift on top of their regularly scheduled eight hours.
