Responsibilities
Must demonstrate a commitment to providing continuous quality service, protect and promote the brand, image, and reputation of the City, while striving to exceed the needs and expectations of our citizens and employees. The Management Aide will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that support quality performance and service as assigned, i.e., orders office supplies, oversees file maintenance, record keeping and correspondence between city departments.
Acts as the point of contact for assigned team of inspectors and coordinates project related pay estimates, certified payroll verification, change order processing and coordination with inspectors on project related tasks. Ensures control compliance by following prompt pay policies for project billings, coordinates and reviews consultant driven project progress pay estimates. The Management Aide must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
Must also manage workload and ensuring a consistent quality of deliverables. The Management Aide must have organizational and follow-up capabilities; ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment; have great oral communication skills; upward communications; pay attention to detail, qualify work products, and client service. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one (1) year of experience. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered.
A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire. The Management Aide has to be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Requires a strong math and bookkeeping skills to verify accuracy of contractor pay estimates submitted for payment.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
