Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the registered infusion nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates individual patient care in the infusion center according to policies and procedures. Initiating IV infusions and monitoring vital signs, tolerance and side effects.

Assist physician and pharmacy to ensure patients and families receive the highest quality care and education to promote patient wellness. Maintains standards of State Nurse Practice Act.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.

  • Meets the educational needs of patient/family/co-workers utilizing principals of teaching/learning.

  • Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care

  • Successfully completed the defined job specific competencies, including competencies for age specific, as appropriate. (List the job specific competencies validated during the year in the comment section; at least one must be age specific.)



Qualifications Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing.
Licensure: License to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Dakota.
Experience: Minimum three year hospital experience or clinical nursing experience.
Skills: Working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Must meet Basic Life Support certification within 480 hours of employment. Must have ACLS and/ or PALS certification along with maintaining recertification
Interpersonal Skills:
Good communication skills are necessary because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors and Medical Center staff
Physic Accountable for own conduct. Promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, other disciplines, departments, families, visitors and patients.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
Hours of Work: Day Shift
  • Variable hours
    Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
    Other: Limited exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Limited exposure to infectious diseases. Potential exposure to mechanical, electrical, and environmental hazards.

The Clinic RN assists physicians in clinical duties to ensure patients and families receive the highest quality care and knowledge promoting patient wellness. The clinic RN maintains standards of the State Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications Education: Registered nurse degree from an approved school of nursing. Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state. CPR certified.
