The Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU) at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus are designed to treat high acuity patients who need critical care and suffer from various medical problems. The G62 Unit includes 18 patient beds.

Some of the most common procedures performed by our nursing staff include bronchoscopy, endoscopy, emergent intubations, and central line placements. Our dedicated and highly trained nursing caregivers follow an intricate nursing care model that is rooted in evidence-based practice and always puts patients first. A caregiver in this position works Day/Evening/Night/ Weekend shifts, with a start time of 7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am.

A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement and monitor patient care plans.

Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). External applicants: two years of recent nursing experience.

Will consider military RN experience. Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
