Position Summary:

Demonstrates proficiency operating the computer & related hardware/software components. Is proficient in the operation of the MDS software & all related components.

Able to conduct/coordinate the initial completion of each residents assessments. Maintains a tracking calendar to assure the MDS's are performed & completed in accordance with State & Federal laws. Assures all required assessments of the resident are completed accurately, thoroughly & timely.

Coordinates all disciplines in assessing the residents. Selects the appropriate types of assessment including the initiation of any significant change in condition. Demonstrates the ability to input all MDS data within the required timeframes.

Has the capability to complete triggered RAPs & formulate a comprehensive care plan. Demonstrates the ability to transmit data to internal or external database (MCDN/State). Has the knowledge to interpret & analyze transmission report, facility quality indicators & MDS online reports. Creates back-up files & stores electronic data related to MDS. Demonstrates knowledge in all department specific policies & standards.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Experiece: 6 months experience preffered

Required Licensure/Certifications: Current CA RN license, BLS, and MAB (90 days upon hire) required.
