Registered Nurse (RN) - Market House Supervisor & Float Pool Manager Three 12-Hour Shifts (1 Danville SOVAH, 1 Martinsville SOVAH, 1 Office), Day Shift Variable, Occasional Nights Position Summary: Position is responsible for both SOVAH Campuses (Danville & Martinsville), also referred to as "Market" Responsible for House Supervisors, Float Pools and sitter programs Responsible for providing leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals Acts as the supervisor on duty to make management decisions, provide direction and supervision with operational issues for all hospital departments Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization for float pool and house supervision and other areas as assigned Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objective s Coordinates staffing/bed control meeting of Nursing Management to facilitate patient throughput and appropriate patient placement Works with Director/Clinical Managers to ensure daily staffing needs are met for all nursing departments providing patient care; oversight of staffing activities Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives Ensures that staff meet necessary educational, certification, and license requirements of their position Prepares, monitors , and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding Coordinates and directs internal/external audits Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols Who We Are: People are our passion and purpose.
