Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

We are actively seeking a motivated Registered Nurse who is looking for the opportunity to see new places! We have a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse travel role currently open in Franklin, OH! In this 13-week travel assignment as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient care within a hospital setting.

BSN required
Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
Current CPR required
NRP, ACLS and C-EFM required before the first year is complete

Offering an extensive range of specialties and expertise, our physicians provide comprehensive care at more than 120 locations. Responsibilities & Requirements Under the supervision of the physician and/or practice manager, assists and delivers patient care duties, and provides administrative support throughout the practice. The Medical Assistant is responsible for: * Assists physician in examinations. * Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician. * Takes blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. * Stock rooms with adequate medical supplies, wash and dry instruments, and prepare sterilization as required. * Assist with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by licensed nurse or physician(s). * Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms. * Follows principles of medical ethics. * Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the physician(s) or practice office manager. Job requirements: * Must either have six months experience as a Medical Assistant, OR, have graduated from an accredited MA or Medical Office Management program that meets nationally accepted standards. * Successful attainment and retention of CCMA, CMA (AAMA) or NCMA certification or RMA plus documented completion of a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning. * Must also be willing to accept orders and perform repetitive tasks. * Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments and public, follow direction, accept orders, and perform repetitive tasks, be patient, courteous, and tactful. * Computer literate in use of word processing and email. Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience in a medical environment to gain practical knowledge in the following areas is preferred:examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion. * Experience in electronic medical records.
