Day/Evening shifts, weekend & holiday rotation

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services, or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.N/AGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.

Associates in Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.

Must have a minimum of one year of nursing experience for medical-surgical. Must have a minimum of one year of specialty nursing experience if seeking a position in that specialty area. Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips.

ACLS required as appropriate (required for intensive or progressive care). Ability to efficiently float to other like units for patient assignments is required. Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications; Epic experience is preferred.
