In lieu of fringe benefits, PRN employees receive an hourly differential in addition to their hourly base rate of pay:
PRN I Hourly Differential: 10% of base rate of pay
PRN II Hourly Differential: 20% of base rate of pay
PRN III Hourly Differential: 25% of base rate of pay
JOB SUMMARY - (RN II/III - Employee Health):
This position assists the Infection Preventionist in overseeing employee health functions, sustain infection prevention strategies and meeting and facilitating medical requirements for new employees and current employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (The following are minimal qualifications necessary for entry into this classification)
Education: Graduation from accredited Nursing Program. Completes annual educational requirements.
License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license (must meet education requirement(s) for Alaska State license).
Certification(s): Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate.
Experience: Successful applicant will show demonstrated success in critical thinking skills. Please see the below experience levels for RN II and RN III
RN II: Independently plans and implements routine nursing care in predictable situations using standards.
Begins to assume leadership responsibility. Needs minimal supervision.
Advancement from RN I or a minimum of one (1) year continuous recent experience in a comparable patient care setting. Clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of one (1) float area required within one year of attaining CN II status.
RN III: Plans and implements nursing care, individualizing care as needed, without supervision.
Able to manage routine and emergency care. Assumes basic leadership responsibilities. Advancement from RN II or a minimum of 3 years current acute care experience 2 of which are in primary unit specialty. Clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of one (1) float area required within one year of hire.
