Job Overview
Supervises Inpatient Nursing units and ancillary departments in the absence of the department managers, primarily on evenings, nights, and weekends. Assists in scheduling and staffing requirements for inpatient nursing units. Participates in staff educationand competency assurance, employee performance evaluations, efficient resource acquisition and utilization and inpatient nursing staffing. Works in conjunction with nurse manager to meet staffing goals.
This position is part time, non exempt and health insurance eligible. The pay range for this position is $77.41 - $110.00/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
Responsibilities
Assists in the supervision of human and material resources in the daily operation of all nursing units. Communicates and provides appropriate follow up with the nursing and ancillary department managers in a timely manner
Ongoing and systematic evaluation of patient care and unit staff needs to provide timely and effective nursing care
Identification of actual or potential patient/family problems
Assists in coordination of patient care, clinical support, staff/patient education, and staff supervision
Assists in the ongoing monitoring of patient care outcomes and clinical support goals
Maintains competency, adheres to standards of practice, and recognizes own learning needs to maximize professional development and optimal nursing practice
