Essential Qualifications:
A minimum of an associate degree.
At least one year of experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) and Home health care capacity.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey (NJ).
An up-to-date American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
A year (or more) of practice working with a Wound Clinic/Burn Unit or within Wound Care. Desirable Qualifications:
Proficiency in Spanish will be considered an asset.
Any specialized certificates or additional nursing qualifications are welcomed. Job Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for administering skilled nursing care, working within the context of our Irvington, NJ jurisdiction, as well as adjacent areas. It is expected that the candidate demonstrates superior organizational abilities, can work independently, and is committed to maintaining patient confidentiality. Profiles with prior experience in home health care will be preferred. Essential Responsibilities:
Providing skilled comprehensive nursing care, both directly and indirectly, across various age and diagnostic groups.
Utilize nursing process principles in data collection, planning, and evaluation of nursing care.
Proven implementation skills within the realm of preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care.
Deploying effective interviewing techniques; setting limits, and collecting data delineated by the specific role.
Establishing clear lines of communication, and fostering collaboration with other healthcare providers, third parties, patients, and their families.
Keeping abreast of patient's comfort and safety needs.
Observing patients, documenting significant conditions and reactions, promptly alerting supervisors or physicians about fluctuations in condition and response to treatment.
Stepping up in emergent situations, responding in congruence with nursing standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
Clearly conveying imperative information to all healthcare team members. Schedule and Shift Details: - 8:30 am
4:30 pm shifts which include working one to two Saturdays a month.
Availability required for working one summer and one winter holiday. Benefits:
