We are searching for a talented RN Hospice Admissions Nurse
Hours: work 24hrs, paid for 32hrs
Shift: Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday; 10:00am - 6:30pm
Location: VNA - Fairhaven, MA
Travel: this is a home care position and requires driving.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee and within agency and department policies and procedures, establish the standards of practice for the Staff Nurse which are based upon the American Nurses� Association of Standards of Home Health Nursing Practice. Assess and care for patients with various health problems ranging in severity. Work in cooperation with individual patients, caregivers and ancillary staff. Advise regarding various modalities to meet patient wellness and illness needs including medication, nutrition, exercise and technical nursing treatments. Teach and support various positive self-care activities including problem solving and treatment alternatives.
Qualifications
Graduate of an NLN accredited school is required. A Bachelor�s Degree in Nursing is preferred. Minimum one-year hospital medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience is required. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the population of patients served. Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is preferred.
Current RN Licensure in Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required. Evidence of current CPR certification.
Pay Range
USD $36.90 - USD $52.64 /Hr.
