Collaborates nursing care for patients to promote health, prevent illness, restore health, and ease suffering. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Demonstrates the abilities in three domains of competency: a) critical thinking, b) technical skills, c) interpersonal relationships, evidenced by define it. Also hs the ability to assess, plan and implement and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance. To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of UPH. To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise.

Current RN license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
1 year of hospital nursing required.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
OBGYN experience preferred.
Ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.
Ability to assume responsibility for personal and professional growth.
