The Float Pool RN position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke's Medical Center of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Super Pool RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the patient requiring telemetry, ortho, and/or medical surgical care. The Super Pool RN serves as primary nurse and/or care coordinator, leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. The Super Pool RN oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • EKG interpretation competency or course within the first 6 months of hire is recommended.
  • BSN preferred.


  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, required

  • BLS Healthcare provider with American Heart Association, required

  • ACLS required within the first 12 months of hire.


  • Two years' experience in acute care strongly preferred.

In addition, our family of services includes six hospital free-standing emergency departments and numerous ambulatory surgery centers, occupational medicine clinics, physician practices, imaging centers, and AIRLIFE-DENVER, which provides critical care air and ground transportation across a 10-state region. HealthOne is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) in our CARE Division wide Float Pool – Full Time available; must be flexible for mixed shifts. Premium top pay!!! Critical Care RN General Statement of Duties: Will utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes and communicate need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations. C.A.R.E Pool RNs are required to work the following: Hours per Pay Period: Tier V (Critical Care RN): Minimum hours, weekend commitment, and demographic location determined by the group and POD in the HealthONE CARE pool Agreement. Holiday Requirements: Tier V (Critical Care RN): 1 Major or 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually. Tier V benefited: 1 Major and 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually. Floating: HealthONE C.A.R.E Pool employees will be required to float to all HealthONE facilities within the chosen pod. C.A.R.E Pool Nurses will be scheduled in units in which they have competencies. C.A.R.E Pool Nurses can be placed in a unit below their competency level with a modified assignment. Education * Graduate of a certified School of Nursing. * BSN strongly preferred.
