Job Summary

BASIC PURPOSE:The Registered Nurse First Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifying and determining the priority of patient's/ resident's/client's problems/needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care. The RNFA collaborates with the surgeon in performing invasive or operative procedures in a safe manner with optimal outcomes for the patient whom protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised. The RNFA must, in collaboration with the patient, family and health care team members, possess and apply knowledge of the procedure and patient's intraoperative experience throughout the patient's continuum of care, addressing their physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs in relationship to their age and ability to respond.

EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED AND/OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of state approved school of nursing

  • Current RN licensure to practice nursing issued by the State of Ohio

  • Additional training in area of specialization required and demonstrated by unit-based competency.

  • CPR proficiency.

  • Completion of a course in preparing the RN as a First Assistant in Surgery

  • Experienced Open Heart Recovery with Endo Vein Harvesting required

Hours

Full-Time Days 40 hours per week
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Shift varies dependent on surgery schedule. On-call evenings, weekends, and holidays on rotation basis.

The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for utilizing their clinical and IV/TPN knowledge alongside the pharmacist to provide specialty infusion services that will be delivered/ administered to patients in their homes. As part of the Coram Sterile Compounding team you will utilize your clinical knowledge and provide our patients with the smooth service and delivery of their medication to their homes. Make a difference by bringing your personal touch and clinical experiences that will support our patient's one on one care. Additional responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician I - Sterile Compounding include: * Preparation and compounding of sterile products * Maintaining the pharmacy clean room suite to 797 requirements * Documentation of IV admixture and clean room suite sterility testing * Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist * Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports * Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs * Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with key partners and patients * Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas Learn more about us: https://www.youtube.com/user/CoramHealthcare Required Qualifications * Eligibility for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations. * Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience. * National pharmacy technician certification required within first year of employment. Preferred Qualifications * At least one year of IV compounding experience OR graduate of Pharmacy Technician program * National pharmacy technician certification required.
