Hospice Palliative Care Certification (CHPN) preferred
Assist compliance leadership to develop, maintain, and support the Corporate Compliance Program with emphasis on our hospice program. Function as a compliance resource to hospice leadership to provide education, guidance, and oversight to hospice offices on appropriate LOS, eligibility, policy and procedure, and oversight. Conduct focus audits to monitor compliance with laws and regulations, policies and SOPs. Educate employees on ways to detect, prevent, and resolve instances of conflict of interest, fraud, waste, and abuse, HIPAA, and report other compliance concerns. Proactively identify systemic issues and prepare solutions to address them in a timely manner, up to and including coordinating workgroups and meetings. Lead careline investigations with the hospice and corporate teams to resolve issues and complaints and identify risks and trends. Requires exceptional communication skills, documentation skills, and project management skills.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position):
Collaborates with chief compliance officer, manager of compliance and hospice Clinical Staff on the revision, preparation, and dissemination of new and updated compliance policies and standard operating procedures.
Serves as compliance resource to the hospice leadership teams.
Investigates/ manages Careline call responses, reviews all calls regarding hospice issues
Maintains information and uploads all appropriate documentation into incident management tracking system
Assists in development of compliance learning materials
Monitors industry regulatory changes and distributes related communications
Serves as direct compliance resource for offices
Identifies and assists in updating Compliance Protocols and Compliance Standard Operating Procedures
Develops and conducts Compliance Department educational offerings; provides webinars and in-services as needed;
Assists in compiling Compliance Committee and Board Compliance Committee booklets regarding Hospice issues
Attends IDT meetings when applicable
Serves as a Liaison to Hospice Medical Directors, providing education and training as needed

Coordinates with legal counsel and hospice clinical operations to ensure adherence to laws and regulations relating to new or revised products and service offerings.
