The Registered Nurse will provide care that includes timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the Emergency Department patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the

continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of

quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, daily members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health

Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements. The ED Registered Nurse will support the ED initiative and provide quality patient care.

Qualifications: Current California RN license. Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and AB508. One year acute care experience preferred.

Graduate of approved registered nursing program preferred. Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Minimum Education:Eligibility, as defined by the California Board of Nursing, to have and maintain an RN license. BSN Preferred. Minimum Experience/Knowledge:Minimum two years RN experience preferred. Three-years cardiology clinical nursing experience working with inpatient and outpatient cardiac care and knowledge in the following areas: 1) Implantable cardiac device interrogation and trouble-shooting 3) Complex general adult and adult congenital-specific interventional catheterization procedures 4) Complex general adult and adult congenital-specific invasive electrophysiology procedures Required License/Certification:Valid California Registered Nursing license. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association Fire and Safety Certification.
