Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room- Flow Coordinator- 11a-11p $30,000 Sign-on Bonus Eligible SOVAH Danville Position Summary: Facilitate patient flow through the Emergency Department to provide optimum efficiency in department resources and timely management of patient care. Coordinate patient flow in an efficient manner through collaboration with hospital and medical staff. Determine bed placement of EMS and walk-in patients in collaboration with the charge nurse. Coordinate and facilitate transfers out of the ED (facility transfers and admissions). Coordinate tasks to expedite patient throughput such as cleaning patient rooms, discharging patients, and transporting patients. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify and resolve issues related to patient throughput Who We Are: People are our passion and purpose. Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required Bachelor’s degree preferred Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred Required skills/abilities Time management Work independently Thorough knowledge of ED throughput Multi-tasking Adaptable to constant change Effective communication with all members of the healthcare team Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required or within 90 days hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association
