This position performs employee health and wellness services in the organization for team members and volunteers. Services may include health assessments, TB testing, respirator fit testing/training, administering immunizations, drug screens, biometric screens, etc.

Responsibilities
Performs new hire assessments to ensure new team members can safely practice within the listed job requirements.
Screens team members and volunteer injuries/exposures, treating them within the scope of nursing practice and referring them to the Occupational Health Department as determined by departmental protocol.
Assists in determining team member's ability to work based upon job duties, practitioner reports and CDC occupational health guidelines within the scope of nursing practice.
Integrates external health records in the department's documentation system and maintains documentation in accordance with departmental, hospital and other surveillance requirements.
Collects employee health and injury records accurately and can organize the information when requested to extract for compliance or reporting purposes.
Performs team member and volunteer follow-up communication by phone call, in-person communication or e-mail communication to discuss services as appropriate.
Can effectively collaborate with other team members and provides consultation when needed.
Keeps up-to-date with changes in immunization protocol and procedures.
Assists and takes care of other duties as assigned within the scope of Employee Health.
Collaborates with the local, state and federal public health departments to ensure all reportable diseases are reported in a timely manner and to assist with any necessary investigations.
Provides support to leadership and team members within the organization for infection prevention/control related topics.
Works in collaboration with regional Employee Health, Human Resources, Allen Employee and Occupational Health and other stakeholders as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Five years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
Current registered nurse license in the state of Iowa.
Valid driver license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Ability to obtain Employee Health certifications within departmental designated timeframes.
Excellent communication skills with client representations, patients and staff.
