  • Nights (7p-7a) Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team for nights (7a-7p). As an integral member of our healthcare facility located just outside Boston, Massachusetts, you will provide compassionate and expert care to patients requiring emergency medical treatment during nighttime hours. Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients upon arrival to the Emergency Department, prioritizing care based on acuity and initiating treatment promptly.

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitoring patient responses.

  • Performing triage assessments, accurately documenting patient information, and maintaining comprehensive medical records.

  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Responding effectively to medical emergencies within the department, following established protocols and maintaining calm under pressure.

  • Providing education to patients and families regarding their conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.

  • Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and patient safety.

  • Participating in ongoing professional development activities and maintaining current knowledge of emergency nursing practices and trends. Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting required.

  • BLS/ACLS certifications required

  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make swift and accurate decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and often stressful environment. Orientation dates 8/12 ED Call-Out Policy: If a traveler unexpectedly calls out of a shift (non-emergency), they are expected to make up the missed shift to fulfill their weekly guaranteed hours. Habitual call outs, and abuse of facility attendance policy is subject to immediate contract termination.
