Digestive Disease (4G

  • Blodgett)
  • 22 Beds

  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4 to 7 Patients to a Nurse (Subject to Change)

  • Population: Primarily Colorectal surgical patients, medical GI patients and med/surg patients

  • Orientation: Orientation is based on individual needs. The length can vary and be adjusted if needed. Orientation is started on days, and then you're transferred to hired shift.

Basic Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) must be obtained within 4 years of hire

Experience

  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program

Licenses

  • Registered Nurse (RN) *State of Michigan

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days of hire

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-05T00:00 A nursing technician on 4G Digestive Diseases at Blodgett Hospital acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs basic skills per hospital/unit guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Digestive Disease (4G - Blodgett) * 22 Beds * Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4 to 7 Patients to a Nurse (Subject to Change) * Population: Primarily Colorectal surgical patients, medical GI patients and med/surg patients * Orientation: Orientation is mandatory and done full time during the day Monday through Friday and the following Monday and Tuesday. * Why 4G: We pride ourselves on great teamwork and family atmosphere. We also have the highest patient satisfaction for all of SHGR inpatient nursing units. Scheduling Expectations: This is a part time night position with the expectation of working 48 hours every two weeks. This position utilizes core scheduling. An employee will be hired into a permanent schedule that repeats every 6 weeks. The days and hours are already preset and cannot be permanently changed to accommodate a personal or school schedule. This schedule will not have the ability to drop below 48 hours per pay period. However, there is opportunity to trade shifts with other employees or take PTO when a day off is needed. Successful completion of Nursing Technician orientation. Orientation is mandatory and done full time during the day Monday through Friday and the following Monday and Tuesday.
