POSITION SUMMARY Compiles, reviews and inputs accounts payable documents according to established policies and procedures and processes payments. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education or Formal Training Associate#s degree with an emphasis in accounting, preferred. # WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Visual acuity required for work at computer terminal for up to 8 hours/day and to read reports with compressed (20 CPI) printing Ability to lift 20 pounds Ability to operate adding machine by touch Ability to reach 6 feet high for filing in 5-drawer lateral file cabinets ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Matches receiving reports, purchase orders and invoices, and compares price and quantity information.# Identifies any discrepancies and takes appropriate action.# Records or compares appropriate vendor and expense account numbers on invoices, identifies correct authorization for payment, and prepares accounts payable document batches for input to mainframe computer.# Inputs batches for processing on mainframe computer.# Prepares manual checks for urgent requests.# Coordinates weekly system check runs.# Receives and answers inquires from hospital directors and vendors regarding purchase orders, invoice data, accounts payable checks and related matters. Reviews Open Receipts Report (for Purchase Orders (POs) received greater than 90 days, but not invoiced) and resolves. # Uncompromising medical excellence, delivered with the values of respect and compassion. Associate's degree with an emphasis in accounting, preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education or Formal Training High School Diploma or Equivilant Required Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) CNA certification or equivalent certification is required.# Equivalent certifications include: EMT, MA, Military Medic or completion of 1st year of nursing core classes (not prerequisites for nursing school). BLS certification required within conditional period Experience Hospital or other health care experience preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Patient Care Provides patient care for specific group of patients in team collaboration with an RN Demonstrates clinical competence with patient care.
