Boulder Community Health is seeking a RN Informatics Specialist who utilizes nursing science, clinical, and institutional knowledge in conjunction with an understanding of information technology and analytical sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate electronic data systems and their workflows in the clinical space at BCH. They serve as a professional clinical liaison to all areas impacted by clinical documentation and data management, biomedical engineering and information technology to ensure multi- and inter-disciplinary project coordination.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Certification preferred
Principal Trainer certification in relevant Epic application within 6 months of hire
Current Colorado Registered Nurse License
1-3 years relevant healthcare experience required.
1-3 years healthcare IT experience preferred.
Epic background preferred
Understanding of hospital and ambulatory operations, interdepartmental procedures and interdisciplinary interactions and workflows in the healthcare setting
Experience in computer or data management related field preferred
Responsibilities:
Work with multiple applications impacting the clinical space at BCH, Applications may span multiple systems, vendors and operating platforms
Participate in or lead complex projects and teams
Lead the Clinical Informatics staff's work with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure design, implementation, and ongoing support of the EHR meets their needs. Additionally, works with customers to identify and define policy additions or changes effected by EHR system implementations.
Direct the focus of clinical process decisions toward positive impacts on the quality of patient care, patient safety and clinical outcomes
Direct the focus of clinical processes towards standardization
Provide direct support to the clinical staff on a regular basis
Support BCH's strategic initiatives and regulatory requirements.
Clinical process evaluation and assessment to include attaining and maintaining knowledge of processes and their interaction with clinical documentation and data management, including, but not limited to providing direct support to the clinical staff on a regular basis
Translation of identified needs and ideas into workable informatics solutions through analysis of current processes and identification of future process visions to determine gaps for formulation of plans to meet process needs
Employment of project management skills and techniques to lead clinical process development and/or system implementations through formulation of project scope, formation and facilitation of work teams, and development of project timelines
