NICU Clinical Coordinator is the registered nurse responsible for ( in collaboration with the Nurse Director) planning, organizes, implementing staff orientation and training needs. The Clinical Coordinator will support staffing needs through orientation and training and function as a role model , resource on clinical issues, performing quality control , process improvement activities, and assist in development of Policy and Procedure, fosters a positive attitude and relationship with staff . ( The position requires strong communication, customer service, time management, and patient care skills.) Maintains a high level of clinical expertise, knowledge and leadership skills.

Assist staff with direct and indirect care of the patients during extreme busy times. The NICU Clinical Coordinator is responsible for performing all duties in compliance with the STMHCS mission, values, pillars and customer service standards.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with current Georgia license in good standing to practice as a registered nurse.

Education: BSN preferred, BLS, NRP and ACLS required.

Certification in area of specialty preferred. Associates Degree/Diploma in Nursing may be considered with 5 years or more relevant experience.

Experience: Minimum of three years in specialty required. Excellent clinical knowledge and skills.

Special Qualifications:

History of high level competence in nursing practice with specific patient population. History of being a team player and good communicator Ability to excel in the delivery of patient care assessment, planning and evaluation process.

History of positive physicians' relationships and positive interpersonal relationships with staff at all levels. History of being a role model for staff in areas of customer satisfaction and commitment to mission of St. Mary's. History of exceptional critical thinking skills Always professional in behavior and dress.

Demonstrate: Management potential or middle management experience with leadership ability.

Possess a high degree of self-motivation and direction initiative. Ability to function independently after orientation is completed.
