As an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process and their clinical knowledge to provide therapeutic care to patients and their families participating in radiation therapy in an outpatient setting. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, managing side effects, instituting preventative measures with a strong emphasis on patient education throughout all levels of radiation treatment and recovery.

The Radiation Oncology RN will be hired for the satellite radiation oncology location and may be asked to help at any of the satellites if needed.

Minimum Education:

  • Eligibility, as defined by the California Board of Nursing, to have and maintain an RN license.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing may be in lieu-of bachelor's degree

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

  • One year of Oncology nursing experience is required.

  • Preferred: Two-year experience in a radiation oncology department preferred.

  • Preferred: Bilingual in one of the threshold languages. Preferably in Korean, Spanish.

Required License/Certification:

  • Current California Registered Nursing license.

  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association.

  • Preferred: ONS Radiation Oncology Certification

VIEW JOBS 4/8/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-07T00:00 The Clinic Manager is accountable for the quality of patient care, efficiency of administrative operations, and human resources management in high performing new Radiation Oncology practice. Patient care services are carried out in partnership with administration, other departments, and medical staff. The Clinic Manager will maintain operational alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. They will manager and lead daily operations of assigned area(s), promote a positive and professional environment, supervise/coach all clinic staff, maintain a stable and productive team, involve staff at all levels in shared decision making, ensure all employee educational requirements are met, lead/facilitate continuous process improvement, actively measure processes and performance, and make data driven decisions. Minimum Education: * Bachelor's degree is preferred. * Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: * 5 years of administrative operations experience preferably 2 years in an acute or ambulatory care setting with at least 3 years' experience in a lead or supervisory role. . * Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and challenge staff. * Good decision-making skills * Exhibits a high frustration and ambiguity tolerance. * Ability to bridge the gap between administrative demands and clinical needs. * Excellent skill and demonstrated experience in process improvement. * Proficiency with Microsoft office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience managing radiation oncology, medical oncology, or multi-specialty clinic. * Knowledge of insurance billing, admitting, or registration experience in a hospital or medical office. * Bilingual is highly desirable preferably in Korean or Spanish. Required License/Certification: * BLS certification required or completed within first 60 days of hire * Fire and Safety Certification.
