This position will be primarily responsible for assisting the Physicians, Providers and managers of the physician practice with the organization and implementation of daily clinic activities. The Clinical Team Lead is also responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating clinic activities for the provision of quality patient care. This position must demonstrate effective organizational and interpersonal skills.

The Clinical Team Lead serves as a mentor to the clinic staff. In accordance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, this position demonstrates the consistent ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the clinical process, quality and performance improvement standards and organizational and departmental goals and objectives. This position assumes responsibility for the clinic operations in the absence of the manager and or supervisor.

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Valid AL RN License required.

  • Requires minimum of two years physician office clinical experience or have completed a structured medical training program, i.e., MA, LPN, or Paramedic.

  • Knowledgeable of EKG, sphygmomanometer, audiometer, PFT machine, Holter Monitor, King of Hearts, wheel chair, thermometers (oral, rectal, tympanic).

  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.

  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

  • Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.

The PICC Team Lead will provide leadership to the team, implements process changes to improve patient flow, ensures resources are being utilized appropriately, works with leaders of other departments to resolve issues related to operational flow. Ensure daily operations are coordinated efficiently. They will manage and maintain staffing schedule to provide adequate coverage. They will assist with the recruitment process. They will mentor and evaluate current staff. This position may also perform duties as a Radiology/PICC nurse, responsible for the insertion of PICC lines for patient and serves as an expert clinician, role model, consultant, change agent and facilitator. They will serve as a liaison for the physician, nursing staff, and ancillary departments, as well as external agencies for PICC placement. * Valid AL nursing license ,BSN preferred. PICC certification or successful completion of an approved PICC course required within 6 months in position. BLS and ACLS requiredAbility to use computer proficiently Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance Knowledge in the proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and document composition Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
