Overview

The RN Charge leads, supervises and directs and/or delegates all nursing functions on assigned unit or floor to assure care is provided per plan of care. This position must demonstrate sound management skills through problem solving and decision making. They are responsible to monitor compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as Ebenezer Standards and policies.

Nursing schedule includes:

  • 16 hours in 2 weeks

  • Day Shift Hours, every other weekend and rotating holidays

Aurora on France is a state of the art care community, attached to Fairview Southdale in the heart of Edina near many medical centers/providers. It is conveniently located off of Hwy. 62 and France Ave. on a bus line. Aurora is a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Assures staff compliance with State and Federal regulations, Nursing Standards of Practice and Ebenezer Quality Assurance Standards

  • Assures Care Plan, medical records and other documentation are up to date

  • Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies

  • Reports problem areas to management and provides suggestions and solutions

  • Serves as facility supervisor and assumes administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current MN RN license or by start date
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers

Preferred:

  • Must be comfortable using Microsoft windows and electronic charting systems

  • Work experience in a patient support role, LPN or RN

  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families and physicians or providers

  • Ability to work with and have sensitivity to the needs of the geriatric population
