Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's

  • BLS from the American Heart Association required

  • One year experience preferred

  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

  • Experience level with heart failure and stroke patients preferred

  • Experience level with cardiac medication and IV drips preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Spine Clinical Coordinator's responsibilities include:Develops and leads performance improvement initiatives related to quality and patient, physician and staff satisfaction.Demonstrates leadership and commitment to excellence in patient care and service.In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, develops, maintains and monitors spine practice guidelines, order sets and clinical pathways based on evidence based medicine.Develops and nurtures collaborative working relationships that create a sense of ownership in the spine service line with hospital department leaders, orthopedic spine surgeons, neurosurgeons as well as other staff and specialists involved in the care continuum for spine patients.Monitors patient care outcomes for Spine services.Maintains expert knowledge of the spine specialty fieldPromotes and supports physicians and nursing staff participation in collaborative practice.Represents the spine service line in the community.Identifies and facilitates the provision of spine education for nursing, allied health personnel and patient/families.Services as a role model, teacher, coach and mentor for the healthcare team and community.Assists with patient and family education and patient satisfaction.Assists with patient flow throughout the care continuum. What You Bring/Job Requirements In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Minimum Experience Requirements: Minimum of 4 years in caring for the surgical patient.Minimum of 2 years in caring for the surgical spine patient.Must demonstrate problem solving, continuous quality improvement and analytical skills.Ability to write presentations, routine reports and correspondence.Proficient with database and spreadsheet management Minimum Education Requirements: BSN required Licenses/Certifications Requirements: RN license BLS certification Certified as a Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) through the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) Preferred and /or, Certified as an Orthopedic Nurses Certification through the National Association of Orthopaedic Physical Requirements: Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally) Your Connected Community When people and places align, incredible things happen.
