Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic looking for an RN Bed Planning Coordinator to join our Bed Management & Transfer CenterTeam!
Per Diem (PRN)
Night Shift with weekend rotation
This is a regional positions out of the Newton Square System Office. The training will occur at the system office, then will go remote.
The registered nurse working in the THMA must work well independently and within a team. This nurse is the centralized bed desk/transfer center representative and must accurately listen and respond appropriately to requests made by hospital-based colleagues, transferring physicians, and peers.
He or she will be responsible to ensure patients are assigned rooms in an expedient manner utilizing all critical resources within the organization as well as critical thinking to expedite this process. This position should give high priority to customer service and safe and efficient care delivery. He or she will communicate efficiently and effectively with the surgical services, emergency department, trauma service, nursing units, physician offices, bed schedulers, and outlying facilities to ensure appropriate placement of patients.
This position must be able to multitask and adjust to a rapidly changing environment. This position may be required to work weekends, holidays, and be on call as scheduled
Requirements
BSN from an accredited college or university
Active Nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania and Delaware upon hire
2-4 years previous experience required
5-8 years previous experience preferred
Knowledge of utilization management i.e. acuity.
Ability to define appropriate level of care preferred
Proficient with computer skills.
Excellent time management skills required
Proficient in bed management
Preferred Experience includes: Bed Planning, Case Management, Transfer Center, and Utilization Management
