Since 1936, Economy Boat Store has been providing quality products and services to the barge transportation industry. Economy Boat sells diesel fuel, lube oil, groceries, meat, rope, rigging and many assorted marine supplies and services to our US Inland Waterway and Gulf Coast customers. The Company also provides liquid terminalling services. Pilot Thomas Logistics is the parent company of the Economy Boat Store.

Position Summary:

Responsible for effectively routing customer deliveries, managing routes and workloads within designated time frames and cost structure and in compliance with efficiency standards and safety regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Schedule all fuel, lube, package and supply deliveries, including assignment of deck crews to deliveries, to maximize operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability in adherence with safety requirements with independent judgment

  • Exercising discretion with managing schedule changes (due to deck crew absences, business changes, and/or vessel maintenance) and adjust assignments accordingly

  • Communicating changes to appropriate management personnel

  • Troubleshoot calls from deck crew, serving as primary point of contact; manage and escalate product contaminations, spills, and other onsite emergencies reported by deck crew to appropriate operations leadership in compliance with environmental, health, safety and security guidelines

  • Review and analyze previous day's deliveries to ensure efficiency levels were met/exceeded. Log and report emergency delivery details

  • Serve as key point of contact for sales representatives, deck crew, warehouse team, and operations leadership on all delivery-related issues

  • Read Web-based monitors for tank levels and generate delivery tickets, if needed

Other Functions:

  • Special projects as requested.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a dispatching role

  • Flexible personal style to work with diverse personalities; professional, yet personable demeanor; friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

  • Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations

  • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it

  • Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision

  • Possess a sense of urgency to get things done

  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and understand what actions to take to bring resolution

  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand

  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor degree preferred; a combination of education and/or experience in lieu of degree

By partnering with internal and external stakeholders the Process Engineer collaborates to build technically sound strategies around business improvement opportunities, safety enhancements and sustainability while reducing cost and maximizing profitability. Responsibilities may include: * Troubleshooting and optimizing process operations and equipment * Communicating and correcting process quality problems * Providing technical assistance to Operations in areas such as operating procedures and catalyst management * Participating in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities such as MOC, PHA's and LOPA * Identifying and developing process improvement ideas and working to ensure ideas are incorporated into expense and capital plans * Providing technical support for major turnarounds and unit shutdown / startups on shift schedule * Monitoring/evaluating unit key performance metrics and maintaining effective monitoring reports, yields, and trends * Providing process designs for small and large capital projects at all stages from FEL 0, 1, 2, 3 * Providing process engineering support during mechanical design to ensure original process intent is met * Overseeing process specifications for equipment and materials and maintaining process optimization * Providing detailed process specifications, P&IDs and equipment data sheets for projects Qualifications Basic/Required: * Legally authorized to work in the job posting country * Bachelor's degree in Engineering * Currently hold a valid driver's license * 3 or more years of experience in refining, petrochemical or related industry * 5 or more years of experience working as a Process Engineer * Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
